Логбуки IYT и RYA

Многие читатели спрашивают, какая разница между логбуками разных производителей и можно ли использовать логбук системы RYA для фиксации милей, полученных в результате обучения по системе IYT?

Спрашивали – отвечаем! За ответом я обратился к директору Эгейской яхтенной школы – Мелоди Мак Кей Бёртон.

Вот текст моего письма:

Dear Melody,

As you remember I have a web site asailing.ru where a lot of people
are asking me about logbooks difference.

Is it possible to use not RYA logbook (for instance IYT Logbook) to
collect information about sailing experience?
And vise versa is it possible to use RYA logbooks in IYT schools?

Please let me know what do you think about this.

Dear Alexey

Thank you for your message. There is not a simple YES or NO answer to this.

The RYA Log Book has three main functions:

1. It is a personal record of your sailing which a school would use to
determine whether you have enough experience to do a particular level of
course..

2. It contains the syllabus for the RYA courses and a place for your
instructor to sign when you have successfully done each part of the course.

3. It has places for you to affix your certificates to keep them altogether.

These last two will be different for IYT and RYA.

You should be able to use any suitable book for (1) to record your
experience. We are quite happy to accept entries in an IYT Log Book.

For (2) and (3) if you want to have something that the instructor can mark
off and that has places to keep your certificates, you might want to have
the right Log Book for the course you are taking, but you could still write
up all your experience in just one book.

Да, для накомпления миль вы можете использовать любой из логбуков, используя его по сути, как обычный блокнот. Однако фиксация полученных знаний и классификация подобных знаний в этих системах различается. Поэтому не получится зачесть отметки о знании навигации IYT в школе RYA и наоборот.
